APRIL 2022

Short Reminder

The best moments in life can never be captured on camera. It's a fact we have to live with.

The Huntington Beach trip had a twilight dive into the ocean followed by dancing at a fancy restaurant. Flirtacious, fun, and immediately nostalgic. Chan and I changed out of our swimsuits behind a towel and spent our night sandy and soaking wet in the middle of a bunch of 65 year olds dressed to the 9's. I'll try to hold onto those moments forever. I can only hope my photos from the beach hold enough power to call those memories back to my brain in 20 years time.

Bon Iver Bike Ride

We heard the concert from our backyard. Man that guy plays some nice, nice chords.

"Whoever is playing is pretty dang good..." I said, standing at the grill like a proper dad.

A quick google search of the downtown venue revealed Bon Iver, live at 5PM, and we were not invited.

The logical solution was to bike downtown and listen to the live music from outside the venue. By the end of the night I decided that I enjoyed our little experience more than if I were to actually go to the concert.
